i've just updated a CR5 from v7r7.3 to v7r7.7.0.2 in one step (bah, 1
upgrade step, 2 service pack and 3 efixes)
Documentation helps. I also updated a 750 from 710_43 to 730_122 and had to
check for a specific ptf (i've learned to RTFM), luckily it was
installed... to make it short, yes you can.
Best Regards

PTF MH01326 HMC V7 R7.6.0 Recovery Media package
This package represents the Recovery image with which you can upgrade your
HMC from HMC V6R1.3.0, or higher, to HMC V7R7.6.0. You can also use this
package to install a clean version of HMC V7R7.6.0.

Subject: Upgrading HMC from V7R7.4.0SP2 to V7R760SPsomething
Sent by: midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx

I want to get as current on my HMC as I can. According to
http://delivery04.dhe.ibm.com/sar/CMA/HMA/03e4z/4/MH01327.readme.html
"HMC V7R760 was the last release supported on models 7310-C04 and
7310-CR2. Future HMC releases are not supported on C04 or CR2."
I am running 7310-CR2's.
These will be replaced when we upgrade our machine in a quarter or two.

Do I have to upgrade to V7R750 before upgrading to V7R760? Or can I go
direct? Been awhile...

I am at these levels of firmware:
01EM350_143
01EL350_143
Both are supported by the levels of HMC in question. I will upgrade
firmware to _149.
