Possibly annoying side effect for use of adoption is the special value *ADOPT, beyond just the special value *GROUP if the user runs with [supplemental] group profile(s), appearing in the output for the user; i.e. *PUBLIC is desirable, the others not so much. The best effect IMO is when the Display Object Authority request is run with a user having *ALLOBJ authority.
