The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.

At the end of August I decommissioned as AS/400 9406-270 (I think it was
called AS/400 then). Now someone else wants to buy it so I got it out of
storage and fired it up. But the IPL stops very early on with the
following on the LCD panel:
First line: 10111514
Second line: P01 FN 24L1402
Google turned up nothing for me on the first line. The second line
appears to match a part number for a power supply, but I don't think that
is related to this problem.
Anyone know what this means? Do I have a failing power supply?

if you want to understand why that is, there are many good books on
the design of operating systems. please pass them along to redmond
when you're done reading them :)
