Office 365 requires TLS (maybe SSL on a different port) as well as
authentication.

I've help many customers set this up with our product as well as other
cloud email services such as Gmail, yahoo, etc.

Our MAILTOOL (with MAILTOOL Plus) product will allow you to connect to this
type of cloud service with no problem. We'll even help you import the
Certificate Authorities (CAs) required for this.

You can download and try it out from www.bvstools.com/mailtool.html.

Feel free to contact me offline for more info or assistance setting things
up.

In CHGSMTPA is the mail router still the Exchange server host? You
should change it to your ISP's mail host name.

Our company just switched this weekend from an on-premises Exchange
server to Microsoft's hosted email solution Office 365.

Now we aren't receiving any of our i5 system generated reports that were
being sent via email.

I was under the impression that the i5 was running its own SMTP server
to send email, and wasn't reliant on the local Exchange server. Apparently
I was wrong.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for the changes that need to
be made? Can the i5 send email out over the internet without a local
Exchange server in place?
