Keep in mind that "the table (file)" that would need to be deleted, is the one stored in the cache, not just any file by that name in that library. From what I read, _a file_ was renamed and moved. In that scenario, if the specific file was the object referenced in the cached plan, then the /system pointer/ to the file would still point to an existing object; i.e. addressing a file that has not been destroyed. The cached statement should be removed when the reference to the pointer encounters a MCH3402 exception; the effect after the object addressed by that pointer has since been destroyed [aka deleted].
