Not production per-se. But, more than queries. When the day cam to move to
the new system, all new accounts were on that system. What remains are
accounts that had a balance. So, payments received are recorded, as are
any collection notes.

Just no new accounts.

John, are you running your HBOC in production mode or more for queries/look
up, etc. I support several older HBOC environments that are very old. I
was told many moons ago by McKesson that if you did not keep up with all
the software updates etc best of luck with going to higher versions of OS.
What I support is close to being sunsett'd, but I need to keep it around
for a while. I plan on porting it to some different servers that have 6.1
for the primary LPAR, then running these older 5.4.5 HBOC's as slave lpars.

A general reply is that your boss is right to be concerned. There's more
to the difference between V5R4 and 6.1 and above. After all, there's
more
to the MTU (Memo To Users) than just the ANZOBJCVN stuff. Granted, that
800 pound gorilla does seem to get your focus.
I have no familiarity with HBOC.
There are a lot of customers, former employees, etc in LinkedIn
associated
with HBOC. No external HBOC group (but you could start one).

We no longer have HBOC support. Not by choice.

OS level is v5r4.

Can anybody provide either:

1) A customer contact for my boss that is running Series 16.0 (or
earlier)
on 6.1 or 7.1?
2) or without a customer contact, some reassurance that Series 16.0 will
work correctly on 6.1 or 7.1?

I ran ANZOBJCVN. There is a service program for which no source was
provided. The ANZOBJCNV report did not appear to find any conversion
issues.

Boss would really like to have something more than just that.

I wish getting direct support from HBOC was an option for this. It is
out
of our hands.

You can contact me off-list if desired.
