Match
*what* exactly? And when you say test if from the IBM i partition,
are you saying that it should be pingable or?

The IP address for the IBM i on my LPAR is 10.0.10.205 (at least, one
of the IP addresses assigned to the line description is). I have that
IP assigned to VASi5.valadd.com in the host table entries. When I
access Navigator from my browser on the local network I type in
10.0.10.205:2001 and I get a very nice looking log in prompt and then
see the menu. Basically every option on the menu returns TCTUI1003E
just like Buzz.

I DO get a security warning from Chrome that the certificate isn't
trusted when I access the page originally but that is about all I see.

I failed to provide detail, but when I access Navigator For i, I use an IP & port instead of the FQDN in the host table. And, my browser of choice is Chrome, which also gets the cert warning.

So, I gave up and 'entered the matrix' of IBM Support. Turns out that, even though you'll still get the cert warning, using IE works (FF too). It worked remotely as well as locally. (Still get errors when looking at the disks, but this may be due to the requirement of logging in under SST?)

Strange, I don't remember having to change browsers in order to use the Navigator. The only difference I could remotely attribute to this issue was that we changed to a Power 7 box (and restored the entire system from our old 520).

BTW, enjoyed your sessions at last month's COMMON...
