Good afternoon

I have written many backup procedures using BRMS but a customer has stumped
on a request.

The system is V5R4 OS. The customer wants to do a SAVDLOBRM, then a SAVBRM
and a SAVLIBBRM using *CUML with save while active.

On a V6R1 system using the same procedure, a message (CPI3712) stating
Save-while-active checkpoint processing completes is displayed in DSPLOGBRM.

On the V5R4 system it does not show in the DSPLOGBRM.

The customer wants the MONSWAMSG command inserted in the backup control
group so a CLP can be performed to start certain batch and interactive
subsystems. I have tried to insert in the backup control with no success.

Any help will be appreciated so I can get on the correct page to get this
done.

Thanks

Dave Willenborg
