I think based on on what you are saying is that the RXS software you are
talking about is a socket server. You need to connect to the server, format
some kind of string and send it to the server and get back a string
containing XML data. Is this anywhere near true.

If true, you will find a complete socket client at
www.think400.dk/downloads.htm under my name and Socket Client. It has four
simple method for Open, Close, Read and Write. the program supports a
2-byte header.

I have used this program for years doing exactly what I said. Now question
is that what you are doing.

I'm not familiar with RXS. Is the interface with the 3rd party the piece
you're trying to solve? Is this interface a pure socket write? Can it be a
http post? What sort of volumes are we talking? Is it a serial or parallel
process? Sorry but at this stage I've more questions than answers.
