TR7 will most likely be in the PTF chain for the next cume, which means that some of the PTFs in that cumulative will have a dependency that the enabling PTF, MF99007 (which you can order and receive now, but this isn't the full TR Group) is permanently applied before the PTFs will be applied. Therefore, when you apply the next cumulative, you probably want to apply the latest DB, Hipers, and Technology Refresh all at the same time (we actually do lots more groups as well).

That is how we will do it on our machines and all our customers.

Subject: When will you install TR7

When do you plan to install TR7, with all the new RPG and DB2 goodies, on your production box?

We have one, single LPAR, machine, so right now I'm in no hurry.

Next cume is (probably) Nov 1 and we will likely install that, because my understanding is that stuff on the cume is tried, tested and stable.
Will TR7 be in the cume after that?

Thanks,

Sam
