Left to its defaults, BRMS will not back up journaled objects, relying instead on a recovery plan that includes laying down the object at a known point and rolling forward with the journals. A great way to do it, if that's what your expecting and have a plan for it. The BRMS documentation does not include the roll forward part, they assume if your doing that, you already know how.
