IN SQL Server, there is ANjilab spy product. WHat it does is show you what
is happening on the server while your SQL Is running. This is as close to a
debugger as I have seen. You can stop it at will.

Do you mean a stored procedure or SQL User Defined Function?. Both can be
debugged by using SBREAK to set a breakpoint and then running the SQL
statement in another job.
