While I cannot be precise about the exact code, I can confirm that rotation of
page segments and bar codes - that PSF was required. I can't quote verbatim
what IBM Printer Division and others explained except to say the PSF (and IPDS)
was much more robust in controlling stuff like this than HPT. This was around 2006
and the print was a tri fold duplex self-mailer, so there were 6 "pages" on each 8x14
and several were 180 rotation.
For your app, I would make a new version of the page segment, and rotate it in the
source tool before you import it to the AFP tool. Unfortunately thisis not an option
if a bar code.
If Paul Tykodi is still on the list perhaps he has an alternative. He answered a lot
of the harder print issues.

I am using PAGRTT(90) to print an AFP PRTF in landscape mode. Works well
until I add a PAGSEG to the page. As per the DDS manual, page segments are
not automatically rotated when using the PAGRTT parameter.

Now I try ROTATION(90) as a parameter for the PAGSEG keyword and all I see
is a portion of the PAGSEG image. Even when I print in the center of the
page in case something is being clipped.

Was thinking I could rotate the image I am printing from the AFP printer
driver, but the IBM supplied AFP printer does not have a rotate option.

Does this make sense to anyone? Why would ROTATION(90) not work for me?
The DDS manual says "feature Print Services Facility (PSF) is required for
use of this keyword". But it has an effect when used.
