Hello,

We have created a SSH public/private key pair and transferred the public
key to the remote system.****

When attempting to make a connection, it hangs after reading the key, as
per below:****

From qsh (user profile is 8 characters long):

sftp -vv -o Port=2222 -o IdentityFile=id_rsa userxxx@123.456.789.012

The remote vendor sees the initial connection but no authentication.****

We have successfully connected to other remote servers using sftp from the
same box running at v6.1 but not this time.

Any suggestions as to what could be causing the hang?

Thanks,

Keith
