SAVSTG isn't a great plan but if you had one you can restore that to a different disk configuration as well.

This is one of the things I remember Al Barsa discussing, IBM initially said SAVSTG required the same disk configuration to restore to and Al said that was 'not good' so they fixed it to not have that restriction.

That said I haven't used SAVSTG in years.....

You cannot go from larger to smaller, so what your trying to do won't
work.

Reload time if you really need to do it.

Why do the disk configurations need to be the same? In the end it really
doesn't matter to IBM i.
