The short answer is yes, there is a RUNSQL command. That has some interesting limitations that have been fully discussed in this forum so I suggest you look up the archives.

The second method I tend to use since is has fewer restrictions but is more complicated to set up is the Qshell command "db2". That allows you to run an SQL statement from CL as well. Again, archives have an exhaustive discussion of both.
