Don't knock the geniuses in khaki (my dad's phrase). I know a guy here who
made $180K last year as a welder in the oil fields.

My youngest son is taking welding classes at St. Paul Tech while he's trying
to get into the Civil Engineering program at the U of Minnesota. He's got
one year of school left. The problem is that the engineering school doesn't
allow admission to a specific program, but into the school itself, and they
only allow admission for the fall semester. There are 15,000 applicants
every year for 3500 seats. The foreign students get preference because they
pay cash in advance.

I told him to stop wasting his time, get out of Minnesota, and come down
here to A&M.

Yeah. Most of the schools on the list are tech schools or junior colleges
which kind of equates a career with welding or refrigeration repair.

Gotta love it when their course listing for IBM i only includes:
Course offerings: CIS421 Study of Legacy Systems
