I don't thing you will find what you want here as our machines use 5250
Emulation vs 3270 Emulation. In our case when used of a LAN it uses an
Enhanced Telnet connection.

I see by your email you are across pond from the US so most of us are
working on our beauty sleep right now. There may be more help in the
morning US time.

We Wish You Luck.

Hi,

First of all I apologize if I am wrong in asking this question on this
list or indeed this site, but I have looked for hours and I feel sure
that someone will have the answer I'm looking for.
I am trying to configure a wc3270 session which is the windows version
of the IBM 3270 emulator x3270.

On my XP machine, I used netstat to look at what ports are being
listened to. I can see an entry desktop:3270 in listening state, so I
configured my wc3270 session to use that, then no problem. I need to
use the same port on my Windows 7 machine. I don't understand how to
get the port 3270 listened to. On both machines, I've tried specifying
a program in the firewall and adding a port but I always get <No
connection could be made because the target machine actively refused
it> when I try to start the wc3270 session. It will only work if I
choose a port that shows up on the netstat list in listening state.

Any help greatly appreciated, thanks
