Did you do the steps suggested in the link? What value is shown when you
do:

To determine what language is installed, on the client bring up Windows
Explorer. Go to the directory where you installed iSeries Access for
Windows. The default directory is C:\Program Files\IBM\Client Access .
Find the MRI29xx folder. If you installed English SBCS, the MRI directory
will be MRI2924. If you installed English DBCS, it will be MRI2984. If you
installed another language, it will MRI29xx.

You can also verify the language installed on the client by going to the
following registry setting:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Sofware\IBM\Client Access \ CurrentVersion . Find the
SourceInstallMRI in the name field. The data field will have MRI29xx
listed which is the language that is currently installed.
