The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

Point #1. Our system response improved greatly after we purchased
enough disk so that we now use about 30 percent DASD, compared to 7
percent formerly. 30 percent disk is fantastic.
Point #2. We optimized all tables with views and indexes recommended by
Advisor.
Point #3. We upgraded to POWER 7 running V7R1.
I believe that the extra disk space and the additional indexes were more
significant than the POWER 7 upgrade but I have no metrics to prove it.
Currently only one processor of our 6 processors is active. I foresee
no need to activate others.
Response time is fantastic. Users love it now.
