Actually, I'm deleting the gagillion objects. We've moved to an architecture where documents are stored in database tables, for this and other reasons. In the meantime I'm zipping up the files and getting them off the IFS.

Joe

Joe,

1. Reassign ownership of your gagillion objects.
2. Delete your profile.
3. Recreate your profile specifying Maximum storage allowed 1K. :)

Nope, it's the size of the user profile. It's causing grief on SAVSECDTA.

Joe

Hi, Joe:

Are you talking about the actual size of the *USRPRF object itself, or
the total "Storage used" as seen on the DSPUSRPRF command display?

Thanks,

No, this isn't spam. :)

Seriously, my user profile has grown to the point where it is
affecting our system saves. I looked and my *USRPRF object is nearly
a gigabyte in size. I tracked it down to it more than likely being
caused by the fact that I've created literally millions of IFS files.
(Don't ask why; I'm trying not to cast aspersions.) It's not
important anyway since I'm trying to get rid of the files. I'm
ZIPping the files together and deleting them, but I don't see any effect yet on my user profile.

When do you think my user profile will slim down? Later today? After
an IPL? Never?

Enquiring minds want to know!
