ANSWER: It is NOT related to IBM i, System i, iSeries or AS/400 or OS/400 -- IN ANY WAY!

Do you have no idea who "Cisco" is?

What makes you think this is somehow related to the IBM i (iSeries, AS/400) platform or the IBM i or OS/400 operating system?

Why do you suppose IBM Corp. renamed "OS/400" to "i5/OS" and then just "IBM i" -- and not something like "i/OS"?

HINT: because Cisco had already trademarked "IOS" as the name of their embedded operating software for use in their routers and switches.

And, also, Apple uses the name "iOS" for their iPhone, iPod and iPad operating systems.
