I did some research on the system I applied TR 6 and the latest group PTFs on just yesterday. I also used the insptf command with instyp(*dlyall), but I IPL'ed immediately after. I found 2 new PTFs that got applied temporarily right before the IPL.

5770BR1-SI47935 loaded at 09:54 and temporarily applied at 10:18
5770DG1-SI48830 loaded at 09:55 and temporarily applied at 10:19

I am very interested to hear the response back to Rob's PMR.

My guess is that some of the BRMS functions are active when the PTF is
applied. Might be an exit program, or a monitor that's running. If
those were all stopped prior to a BRMS PTF being applied all should be
well. I'm just annoyed that I can't apply the groups/cumulative with
option 8, do not IPL, and wait for the scheduled IPL over the weekend to
do it.

Perhaps these times conflicted?
