RE: AFPDS Spool file to PDF

I think it is, that is what we do. Our programs do the OVRPRTF with the
stream file name and then when the program runs you don't get a spool
file, just the pdf. We archive a copy of our invoices this way as well
as a folder of daily reports for the users.

Scott,
I can go either way.
Would it be easier if I used the OVRPRTF to create the PDF directly?

Thanks,

We do an OVRPRTF with WSCST(*PDF) and create pdf files that have the
overlays included. Is that what you want or do you already have the
spool file. If you already have it then you can try CPYSPLF with
WSCST(*PDF) - I can't remember if this worked correctly or not. In
both cases you have to specify the stream file location in the IFS.

V7R1
I have a spool file created with overlays.
Using base system functions, can I copy this to a PDF file and get the

same image as I would if I printed it?
If so, what do I need to do?

Thanks,
