I tried doing a OVRPRTF EXPDATE(*DAYS) DAYS(10) on QPJOBLOG within
the job, but that didn't work. I tried with the Override scope set
to *JOB and *ACTGRPDFN. The expiration date on the job log was blank
in both cases. Any ideas on how to get this to work for job logs?

One of the frustrating things about job termination is that the spooling of the joblog occurs *after* the overrides have been removed; or, the joblog is produced in a manner that the overrides in effect for the job do not influence the QPJOBLOG that gets produced for End-Of-Job (EOJ). To get the OVRPRTF to go into effect for a QPJOBLOG, explicitly request the joblog [i.e. DSPJOBLOG OUTPUT(*PRINT)] in the job instead of depending on the logging produced according to the LOG and SPLFACN parameters for the job [effectively *after* the job ends].
