The steps you outlined below are only for a one lpar system. You have a
multiple lpar system. These steps will NOT work. Your D mode IPL will
not even work since you are trying to do it from the front panel and not
from the HMC.
I strongly recommend deleting all existing partitions.
Create a new partition, giving it all hardware.
Set the partition to D, M via the HMC, not the front panel.
and then follow the rest of your steps.
I don't suppose you'd grant remote access to your HMC, would you?
