Re: BRMS - full save with least amount of restricted time

fixed

Well, since we back up from our Mimix machine we do not use save while
active.

When we were backing up from our primary machine we did do save while
active. We were using the option to not sync. What this basically means
is that if you have a transaction that updates an orderdetail record and
updates the summary in an orderheader record that the numbers may be out
of sync if you do a restore and the save occurred mid-transaction. I
pointed this out to management. When it was discovered that the
alternative was to kick everyone out until the "checkpoint" occurred (RTM)
and then they could get back in until the save finished they decided to
just take their chances. They were opposed to kicking people out, at all,
for any length of time.
