Yes I have it running at several clients. Assuming that disk busy was
not high before ( meaning < 20% ) and you have the newer controller
cards ( SAS ) you should not see a performance difference. We also turn
on hot spare.

We configured our high-availability POWER 7 8202 for RAID 6.
I am considering possibility of RAID 6 on our production POWER 7 8202.
Currently it is RAID 5.
