I looked through my media kits, and still found a V4R4 kit - will that run
on it?

Also, what kind of changes trigger the SystemPassword?

Model 150 AFAIK doesnt use licences, at least up to v4r5 so it should
boot. Don't know how it handles being offline that long i remember
reading that some machines asked for the SystemPassword if turned off
for long times...
Best of luck

Hello,

I've got a Model 150 from which the capacitors went quite bad, and we're
currently desoldering them at the local hackerspace to revive the
machine.

Are there special considerations to take into account with licensing/boot
firmware/... when doing this? Lots of things will be changed on the
hardware side, and I tend to remember reading something that Big Blue
doesn't like self-carried out repairs and asks for a specific password if
you change too much.

Thank you for your advice,

Yvan
