Want to know when the SAVLIB *NONSYS needs another tape? Did you know you
can be notified about inquiry messages on your cell
phone, pager, or e-mail during a Save Entire System (Option 21 on the GO
SAVE menu) or when using Backup and Recovery Media
Services (BRMS)? Messenger can monitor any message over severity 70 while
in restricted state. This includes device and tape error
messages, as well as inquiry messages such as a SAVSYS asking for another
tape. And Messenger can send a notification to one or more
devices while your system remains in a restricted state. Unlike competing
products that only page during restricted state by requiring you
to embed a send pager message command into the restricted state function,
Messenger has restricted state monitoring features ready to
detect errors and page you.
