Mark,

Since you asked for free or vendor response.
We have an excellent inexpensive product SpoolFlex that will
do a lot more than just convert to PDF and email.
Such as:
Bursting reports
Taking spool data such as customer or vendor number from the
spool file and extract from your database the email address.
Password protect the PDF
Also convert to HTML and use as body of the email or an
attachment.
Use our own built in SMTP processing so you don't have to
fight IBM's SMTP and MSF
Archiving for simple retrieval and re-email
NO PROGRAMMING required
And much more

We offer a free trial at www.drvtech.com

Just recently implemented the emailing of PDF invoices and
customer acknowledgements using RPGMAIL . Free and pretty
simple to implement.

I am looking for email package recommendations on the i.
The basic requirement is for outgoing mail, so various
documents like invoices, shipping confirmations, etc. can be
emailed instead of printed and mailed.

Both free and vendor solution recommendations are welcome.
Since I'm sure this has come up before, if anyone has a list
they'd be willing to share, I'd appreciate it. A quick
search of Midrange.com's archive did not yield a good list.

Thank you.
