I understand your comment about change management systems (I even worked
for the Venezuelan representative of Aldon, some years ago). Nevertheless
(at least here in Venezuela), it is the custom of some big customers
(mostly banks) to recompile source programs as, some small differences
between systems (mostly, I suppose, in the PTF area) could have some
consequences.

Maybe it is mostly a local (Venezuelan) thing :-)
