you need to create a file in the IFS and then delete that file, no?
And you have to use additional APIs which raises the complexity of the
program. And you have to be aware of the CCSID of your data. The
problem I am seeing with writing to the spooled file is 378 character
limit to the width of a printed line in a spooled file.
