Fine...I will print your e-mail and put a copy into my safe
then pull it out 14 years from now and check it again ;-)

A little math and a chart should help.
http://ibmsystemsmag.blogs.com/.a/6a00d83545a5d153ef017d3e69e0

2008. IBM i introduced
2012. Now
2026. Year on chart with IBM i support listed

Number of years IBM i has been around: 4
Number of years IBM i support is on chart: 18
Number of years from now until then: 14

Based on Ian Jarman's discussion at the 2011 COMMON Annual
Conference, IBM
chose IBM i for the long term. It seems like that is proving
to be true.

Maybe I'm splitting hairs...

Do you have a link to the 14 year claim?

Looks like I have to repeat myself.

The smaller number of IBM i searches is because we have not yet
started writing IBM i on the web wholesale. Once we get off our
complaints and actually promote the platform branding
that we will
have for at least another 14 years, then the complaint
becomes moot.
Catch 22 is so difficult when everyone is making excuses,
rather than
talking about how good IBM i on Power really can be.
