Just wanted to add that my comments would be valid even if PHP were on Windows or Linux even though you're advocating web services :-)

Of course, but did you get the point that Eric is NOT using Zend? You'd have to be a glutton for self-inflicted punishment to try to support PHP on IBM i without Zend's help. I could be wrong, but odds are that they are running PHP on Intel.
