I saw there was in the host table
HostName.Domain.com for the local IP address
The netserver has been working fine for years this way.
I added
HostName for the same IP address
I didn't know when the AS/400 rechecks the host names so just in case I re-started
the 400. I'm still getting the same error 16 indicating that there is another computer
on the network already using the same name as the AS/400 NetServer server name.

Maybe there is a cache that needs clearing out?
