Wishful thinking.

The date I am loading is JODATE on the DSPJRN *OUTFILE format. It is 6 digits on my system (and probably yours also :)

I agree, I thought all 6 character date fields were done away with over a
decade ago.

Google for Alan Campin's idate routine. Might be at think400.dk
