That particular download was done with Download Director. I just
downloaded a PTF image (675MB) direct to my i with FTP and got
1,086KB/sec. Just over 10 Minutes for a CD Image.
So Download Director is faster and if you use a tool like GoZilla it can
accelerate that as well. But I use an FTP script and parallel many
images at once each of which usually gets the same 1000KB/S.

Perhaps the network guy is choking down my network access. Are you
downloading directly to your i, or to your PC? Trying to see if it's an
FTP issue on the i.
But I really have pathetic download times from IBM. My uploads to ECUREP
are dead slow from my PC also. Left my laptop here the other night to
finish off a 1.5GB upload of performance data for the stupid disk
balancing issue I was having.
