Thanks, guys. We've been at V7 for a while, and I've got the most recent
cumulative package, but I was hoping that IBM was still on a sort of
quarterly schedule.

I'll go place my order(s) and update my FTP scripts. Looks like I'll be
doing the next cumulative PTF over the Thanksgiving weekend, but that's OK.
We have a TV in the IT area here, and my football watching will be
relatively uninterrupted. :-))

You got your date answer. However, do NOT just order the cumulative and
call it a day. Order any group you see applicable to you. They come out
more often. Also, you may have the latest and greatest cume, but it may
not have many of the PTF's that are in current groups. IBM is more
restrictive on what appears in a cume than in a group.

Hey, it's not every day you get to put on PTF's. You may as well try to
get as current as you can.

Get the cume. See:

Get the latest group ptf's. See:

http://www-912.ibm.com/s_dir/sline003.nsf/GroupPTFs?OpenView&Start=1&Count=30&Expand=1#1

http://www-933.ibm.com/support/fixcentral/ibmi/selectFixes?release=V7R1&function=release

Get "recommended PTF's". See:
http://www-912.ibm.com/s_dir/slkbase.nsf/recommendedfixes
Drill down each topic in "Recommended for specific products or functions".

And, if you're just getting ready to upgrade to 7.1 make sure you have the
latest respin or resave of the media. This will have TR5 on it. See:

Subject: Next V7R1 Cumulative PTF
Sent by: midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx

Good morning,

Does anyone know when IBM is planning to publish the next cumulative PTF
for V7R1? There are a bunch of groups and hipers, but if there's a
cumulative coming soon, I'll save a little time and just get that.

Thanks,
Daniel
