Believe this is same query posted to another list (maybe Consult400?) last week. OP was told to use a LF. He asked for a working example pgm and was told to RTFM. Must give him credit for persistence <grin>!

If you really want to use CL, than try to add OPNQRYF and do a query with Key Order = *DESCEND ... However I recommand using RPG.

means suppose a file has has 1o records than i want to read from
1oth record to 1st in cl program if you could please send the
program (cl)
