IMHO the performance of three drive raid sets in the SCSI world doesn't
suck, it's looking UP at SUCKS! The first one I encountered was some
poor soul stuck with three 140s on a 40MB Cache RAID card. Performance
was abysmal....... then the Cache Battery checked out. Definitely Sucked
to be them.

And that's a platform independent situation. Not just on Power equipment
but on totally unrelated stuff.
But, there will be those who will argue that someone coming from a S/36
will still notice better performance even with a 3 drive raid set and will
gag at the price of an extra drive when they're only using 30% of their
disk.
Sucks to be them.
