The local 2001 port isn't System's Director, but Director Navigator for IBM i (Don't you just love IBM names). With about 90% the same functionality as the client System I Navigator that you load on your PC.

What version and release of "AS/400" are you running?
On recent versions of IBM i you can connect a browser to

This is the local copy of Systems Director.

IBM also has an enterprise Systems Director. This ties into that and also supports agents on PC's and other platforms. This can give you performance, disk usage, etc throughout your enterprise.

Back to the local, there is a free client based product IBM ships out called System i Navigator. It can give you pretty charts of all sorts of metrics about IBM i. You can configure it to send messages when certain parameters are exceeded.

Not sure how Tivoli ties into all this. Perhaps they can tie in like IBM's Systems Director can.
