I have also experienced this problem.

I found the problem to be a network issue. Something goes wrong on the
network and we suspected there is a momentary break in the communication
which is recovered by the auto reconnect features in the communication
software. The problem is that the break appears to drop the thread and start
a new thread, hence you lose your sessions.

In my cases, I have had to get the network providers on board to fix their
network. This has always resolved the problem.
