They are semantics. That's just it :-)

If that's what it takes to infuriate you, then you are pretty thin-skinned. Whine :-)

If you need a solid toolset to connect RPG to SQL Server, Excel and more, try RPG2SQL Integrator.

Oh, and Verns native Open Access Handler..............

FWIW: I was able to lock up a STRSQL job when I tested ArdGate previously by killing the server in the middle of an SQL select command. May want to add that to the QA testing.

I think those of us on the list (save those peddling their products) agree that "embedded" SQL means the usage of the EXECSQL op code or extender. It does not mean Call Level Interface (CLI) nor does it mean calling speciality routines from assorted vendors. Please do not try to argue these semantics. It doesn't help to win over converts and it just infuriates others.
Argue your product on other merits, like you later did with the no java stuff.

RPG2SQL does support embedded SQL. Just not IBM's version :-)

Also, RPG2SQL doesn't require Java which is a huge plus when it comes to
performance.

Just added a few additional facts :-)
