Should have been

select ordnum, ordstat, ordseq
from orders
where ordnum = xxx
order by ordnum, ordseq desc
fetch first 2 rows only

Doing all at once is a bit trickier, but as long as you're on a recent
version of the OS...a recursive common table expression should work...

I have to leave or I'd put together an example. :)
