start SST, take opiton 8 (Work with service tools user IDs and Devices),
can you do anything with option 3 that would allow you to change it to lan
console.

Subject: Migrate twinax console to LAN console V5R2

I have a V5R2 system that I need to get over to LAN console so we can add
some LPAR's. I found this document:

http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=nas179a308457dd4c6c18625770e0057530f

But it covers V5R4M5 and beyond; it directs you into SST option 8 "user
IDs and *devices*" to set the console type to '3' Ops Console. In V5R2 the
'devices' part is not there.

Does anyone know how I change the console type from Twinax to Ops LAN
console in V5R2?
