Sorry for the typo, yes.

And I do have a tool that can help if you get to the point where you
need an easy way to trace SMTP, yes.

Now, on your box if your SMTP is set as FIREWALL *NO then you're
really not going through Gmail (or any mail router). You're
delivering the email directly from your iSeries. If you were going
through Gmail you'd see every mail send in the "sent" folder in Gmail.

You also may experience issues delivering to certain domains (aol.com
and hotmail ring a bell as to having issues unless you do have reverse
DNS set up) with that configuration.

Another question I like to ask, does SNDDST *LMSG work?

Anyhow, feel free to contact me and I'm happy to help. I've debugged
thousands of issues with SMTP. :) I've seen it all... lol

Is SMTP set up properly?  What values do you show for Mail Router and
Firewall in CHGSMTP?

Glad to hear from you, Mr. Stone. As I recall, you have a tool that
might be useful here, depending on what develops.

Do you perhaps mean "CHGSMTPA"?  ;-p

Unfortunately, we don't have *IOSYSCFG on that box. So we're asking
somebody with that authority to prompt the command, and send us all 5 pages.

On our box, incidentally, it's *NONE and *NO (even though our box is
behind a firewall, and even though our email is currently through
GMail), but everything we send from our box, under the same
circumstances, seems to get through just fine.
