James,

The InfoCenter has a good description & requirements
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/iadthelp/v7r1/index.jsp?topic=/com.ibm.etools.iseries.langref2.doc/rzakd/rzakdmstafprsc.htm

PSF (Print Services Facility) is required.
spool type *AFPDS is required
A number of things in the article you can & cannot do.

I prefer putting jpg or tiff into overlays & page segments and this let's you skip that step.

Subject: AFPRSC

Hi all

Tried getting info on this a couple of years ago and failed. Is anyone out
there using the AFPRSC dds keyword to embed tiff/jpg/etc in afp documents
and print them on ipds printers and/or through host print transform? If
yes do you know what resources are necessary to do it. PSF? Infoprint?
Were there any gotcha's that were difficult to get past? Does one need
very specific printers for it to work?
