Yep that works for sure. Thing is you typically want to put save files into a library or they need to be copied again to be able to restore from them. So unless I've missed something I still pay the penalty of the list when I upload. However you can also do 'Transfer' and select 'Manual Transfer'. While this requires that you actually have to type the file names and directory paths instead of clicking on them, you do avoid the timeout completely as you don't care about the list. Also be sure to click the 'Binary' mode check-box when doing *SAVFs.
