Michael -

In general, [at least as use for DCLF purposes in a CL program, for example] if you are looking for the IBM system-supplied outfile used by any of the variations of the DSPFD command, use WRKF FILE(QSYS/QAFD*) and browse through the list to find the outfile you need - the descriptions fairly self-explanatory.

In this case, the IBM-supplied outfile QSYS/QAFDSELO is used to create the the outfile MYLIB/SLT_OMIT when using the command:

DSPFD FILE(YOURFILE) TYPE(*SELECT) OUTPUT(*OUTFILE) OUTFILE(MYLIB/SLT_OMIT)

Thank you for the help. One last question. Is there anything I can use to
determine the select/omit criteria on logicals? I haven't been able to
find this, not even with DSPFD to an outfile. Maybe I over looked
something.
